Software Freedom Day 2009 on Region IX a Success |

The Software Freedom Day 2009 last September 19 held at STI College Zamboanga Building was a success.
Over 150-200 Students and Educators from different Universities in the region have attended this event. Mr. Sunil Abraham, Executive Director of Center for Internet and Society gave a live message about Free and Open Source Software via skype.
Mrs. Yolynne Medina, CISCO Zamboanga OIC, talked about Free and Open Source Software. Mr. Jerome Locson, the owner of Delta IT Consultancy in the region, shared a thought about Online Presence. Ms. Jet Buchan, Developer at ADZU, gave a talk about Netbeans. Mr. Joseph Marcus from NCC Zamboanga. Mr. RJ Ian S. Sevilla gave a talk about Joomla! Content Management System and Mr. Bruce Jean Sua who is currently connected with STI College Zamboanga gave a talk about Moodle.
